Airline Ticket Donation Program - USA
Our Ticket Donation Policy:
- NP accepts donations of full airline tickets for domestic travel in the USA , usually 25,000 miles
Photo: NP field team members in Trincomalee, Sri Lanka - NP accepts donations of full airline tickets for international travel departing from inside the USA , usually 75,000 miles
- NP does not accept partial tickets
- NP accepts donations of unused airmiles from NorthWest Air “World Perks” accounts only
- NP pays the fees associated with transfer of donated tickets or World Perks Air Miles, generally less than $100 per ticket
- The IRS considers airline tickets or frequent flyer miles to be a gift to the individual traveler. Therefore, unfortunately, the value of donated ticket miles cannot be treated as a tax deductible contribution.
